How the Brazilian Butt Lift Works

Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure Details 

Before your Brazilian Butt Lift, you will undergo a consultation with Dr. Parakh at her Englewood, NJ office to ensure that you’re a good candidate. During this first meeting, she will evaluate your body to determine where the liposuction should be performed in order to obtain the necessary amount of fat for transfer.

Liposuction will be used to remove fat from the donor region. Dr. Parakh will create small incisions and then insert a cannula (a long, thin tube) to loosen and remove the fat with suction. Once enough fat has been removed, it will be purified, prepared, and placed inside a syringe to be injected into target areas of the buttocks. The fat acts as a “filler” to add the ideal amount of volume and contour to your silhouette.

Recovery and Results: What to Expect

After your BBL, you’ll experience swelling and bruising in both the area where liposuction was performed as well as around the buttocks. You should be able to return to work in 7-14 days.

We encourage you to avoid sitting or lying directly on your backside for two weeks after the procedure. Sleep on your stomach and use an inflatable doughnut-shaped pillow if you need to sit down. Light exercise can be resumed after 3 weeks.

It will take about three to six full months before your body has adjusted to its new volume and shape. It’s important to live a healthy lifestyle with a good diet and regular exercise to maintain your results. Weight gain could impact your outcome.
